Bra Reviews For Simply Yours

9 Dec

First up I tried the:
Portia bra from Curvy Kate. Balconette, non-padded, underwired bra with the signature Curvy Kate criss-cross, candy pink ribbon and flirty bows. This girly piece is supportive and comfortable. Can be worn as a set with the matching shorts. Also available in Black/Pink and White/Pink.
Hand wash.
85% Polyamide, 15% Elastane.
Size: 36H.

I am quite a fan of Curvy Kate bras. I have the Emily in two different colours and I just adore the Showgirl Range, especially my 34J Tease Me. I love the fact that they cater exclusively for larger cupped girls, they start at 28 backs, they make gorgeous bright designs and keep bringing them out in new colourways. The models are all competition winners, just your average girl on the street (although all with extraordinary looks!) and they fit the brand and really demonstrate what Curvy Kate is all about. Therefore this Portia bra received a thumbs up from me the moment I saw it. I love the bright pink with the hint of royal blue. I am a sucker for tiny bows. I of course really like the fact that is has fully adjustable straps and three hooks and eyes. What I would love EVEN more is this bra is a 34J! As you can see I am spilling out of the cups a little bit, something that did settle slightly as I wore it for a few hours. The back band is slightly too big for me and so I feel a 34 may work better. The shape that it gives me is incredible, very rounded and together, something that I hope would not change with a larger cup. I can’t think of an occasion when this bra would not work – it would be fab for work, great for nights out and perfect for lazy days at home. Now where is that 34J…

Next up…

The Freya Lyla underwired, non-padded balconette bra is based on the Arabella range. Lyla is coolly confident in amethyst with floral embroidery in contrasting aqua. Three-section balcony bra, lined undercups for added support. Matching briefs available.
Hand wash.
73% Nylon, 17% Elastane, 10% Polyester.
Size: 36H

I have been gagging to try the Lyla for ages! I am a bit disappointed that it is not a fully sheer cup in my size as I think it loses some of the sexy appeal but nevertheless I love the colours and the detailing on it. The fully adjustable straps and three hooked back as ever really appeal to me.
I found, however, that fairly true to Freya sizing this would have suited me better in a 34HH/J. Again as I wore the bra I settled into the cup and so maybe with a firmer band I would fit the cups a bit better. The overall shape was fairly good, rounded and perky, good for every day wear and gorgeous enough to impress all on it’s own 😉

The final set:

This gorgeous underwired Pour Moi? bra offers great coverage and support. All-over mesh bra with beautiful embroidery detail to top cup. Slightly built-up straps for added comfort. Non-padded. Underwired. Ribbon rosette and diamanté detail to centre front. Sizes up to a J cup.
Hand wash.
78% Polyamide, 12% Elastane, 8% Viscose, 2% Polyester.
Size: 36H

I have only ever tried Pour Moi bikinis and as I have had quite a good success rate with them I decided to give this bra a whirl.
As you can see the detailing it just divine and so eye catching, once again bringing a basic bra to life and making it sexy and girly. This 36H bra was spot on, although I do have the continuous problem of sometimes not filling the bottom of cups properly, no matter how much I scoop and jiggle my boobs into them! It gave me a really lovely shape and was by far the comfiest and best of the three. A new one for me but one that I shall definitely keep in mind for the future, superb work Pour Moi!

Simply Yours is one of my favourite sites to use for lingerie buying purposes. The search categories are useful and easy to use, the models and delicious, the offers and products ranges are excellent and the customer service is fantastic. Why not treat yourself to something gorgeous to wear underneath your Christmas day frock, a present for whoever is lucky enough to unwrap you 😉

I have read previously that Curvy Kate bras can run loose in the band depending on the collection. For example, the Showgirl range is often reviewed as being a looser fit. Do you find the Portia to be a normal fit in the band? I am almost sized out when the bra is looser in the band, so I’d love to hear it is pretty standard.

Portia was a tad looser than Emily, I think 34 would have been better. However different dyes cause different sizes so maybe that was it x

Had 2 great bras from you guys since losing weight. Been to M&S and its not really been the same, dull styles for my shape.
This blog is good, but its all trial and error as I had to return a few times to get it right.
    But thanks

Ok, if you READ THE POST you would have seen that the bras were actually TOO BIG for me so losing weight would have made it worse.
My boobs are not JUST fat – how do you explain women who are far bigger than me having small breasts and women who are far slimmer having huge boobs?
As for the tattoos…I can spend my money how I please. You should spend yours on a dictionary.

Haters are just that. Haters. Sitting home alone and trying to find ways to bother someone they are actually envious of. They have no integrity and are incapable to put their name on anything. Waste of your time to even respond.

I mean. This one can’t even spell.
