I recently purchased two new sets which incidentally happened to be…purple! Hence the tedious link!
The first set was the stunning Emily in lavender by Curvy Kate.
I tried this bra in blue for the Star In A Bra photoshoot and I was so impressed by the shape and style that I have been toying with the idea of getting this purple version ever since. As proven by this wonderful post by the Brastop blog the Emily bra gives fantastic support at every size. It is sheer enough to be sexy and covered enough to wear under most tops. It has fully adjustable straps and three hooks and eyes meaning it gives optimum comfort and support. I found the band to be a little stretchy and think a 34HH would have been as good a fit on me, so if you are between back sizes you could go down one. The colour is just divine and looks great against most skin tones. The size 18 thong was a good fit around my hips but a tad baggy elsewhere, a 16 would have been ok but probably cut into my muffin top a bit too much and so it depends on how you like your pants to fit as to whether you want to go for your lower or upper size.
The second set I got was the new Rhea by Masquerade in mulberry and slate. As I have the other two Rhea sets I knew that this bra was a fab fit and style for me – and I was not disappointed!
As with all Panache bras the band comes up quite snug and so this 36H was perfect for me. It gave me that fantastic rounded shape that is perfect for sweetheart necklines and high scoop necks. The straps are half adjustable but fairly short and did not even need to be moved. It has two hook and eyes which is ok but I do prefer the firmness of three. The colour is perfect for winter and although it has a little lace detail it tends to not show underneath anything unless it is very thin. I always feel very secure in this bra and often wear the pale pink one all day at work. The matching briefs are a size 18 and are a perfect fit – which is standard Masquerade sizing for me. I hope they keep bringing out new and gorgeous Rhea sets as they make me feel indescribably sexy, give my boobs a shape to die for and last for a very long time.
Man, I wish the Emily looked that good on me! Maybe I just haven’t found the right size yet. Try try again 🙂
Thanks lovely. It depends on shape – my Mum hates hers but gets on with bras I can’t get a good shape in xx
You look amazing GH, especially good haircut may I add! We love the Emily style from Curvy Kate. The purple grape colour is also stunning, they do such great colours.
Thanks lovely!!!!! I LOVE the grape, I want to sit around and drink wine in it :p x
You look great in them 🙂
I’m waiting for my Rhea to arrive, crossing my fingers hoping the back to be tight enough for my 26 frame and the cup to be deep enough (which I’ve found to be a problem with some of Masquerade styles). Ordered 3 sizes, really hope one of them fits as I love the mulberry color, it is so classy! I didn’t like the previous colors much, but loved the details and shape of the bra so was really happy when I saw this season’s color.
I am trying to find the Emily in grape/black in my size but no one seems to stock it…
Have you tried Ewa Michalak? I would say Emily will be too loose for you. Good Luck with Rhea, let me know how it goes x
Hey there, I stumbled upon your website via ebay.
I just wanted to say, thanks so much for your blog. It has so many helpful reviews of clothing types and bands. I get so down and frustrated when I go shopping for clothes as I just end up with clothes that don’t fit. I know exactly what suits me, but can I find it??????? lol NO!!!
So I have (in panache, have to say I love their bras) 38HH. I’m sadly not as tall as you, (5’0″) and short waisted (sadly, I look ridiculous in a belt) Every cloud has a silver lining however, so I have good legs that are (comparatively speaking) long and a good point on my body. I have a problem area with my tummy though (ggrrrrrrr). I sometimes order from pepperberry, but WHY! why do they do so many short sleeves?? I’m not a fan of my upperarms. I don’t have bat wings at all, they are firm, but, don’t you find that alot of women with big boobs have large upper arms?? genetic trait???
So anyway, thanks so much for posting such an informative, insightful blog. I’ve learned quite alot since I read a few blogs about other clothing ranges(other than pepperberry) that might fit me.
I wish I could make my own though!
Hey lovely,
Welcome! Your body shape sounds delicious! I am jealous of your legs and arms!!! I hope you find something for you on one of the sites recommended, let me know how you get on and do consider blogging, it is so very rewarding x
I will indeed let you know if I find any enlightenment clothing wise, though you have gleened considerably far more information than me already, and I’m in my early thirties, so have been walking around with my giant orbes for a good deal longer than you have.
I have found some success with this dress from pepperberry:
http://www.bravissimo.com/pepperberry/products/dresses-and-skirts/evening-dresses/ruched-jersey-dress/black/fr02bl/?show=16&sort=1
which, turned out to be alot better on than it looked when it turned up. A good framework (spanx) definately made the dress I feel, as another issue I have with pepperberry is that their clothing is sometimes flimsy, when us busty ladies definately need structure (in the right places).
The sexy thigh-split with this dress got a bug thumbs up from me.
I have ordered another:

but it hasn’t turned up yet. Will let you know how it goes.
Blogging….but you’ve picked the best name already! lol
marry me?

Love the new Rhea colour!!! But it might suit your skintone a bit better than my pale one. Hmm. but still if it was the same as purple and powder then I guess it’s safe to order the 34GG to see how it’ll look.https://fullerfigurefullerbust.wordpress.com/2011/10/24/purple-reigns/#comment-form-wordpress
I tried the Emily and loved it but it just didnt fit well enough for me to justify it when I can buy other bras which feel much better in fit. I also find all the curvy kate bras too wide set in the straps as I am quite small in the shoulders.
the masquerade bra looks beautiful on you! the color ist gorgeous. i spend some money online for bras yesterday, so i can’t wait till they arrive. i get all excited seeing you try so many different styles!
