Volup2: Simplicity

16 Mar

Last year I was lucky enough to be selected to model from Velvet d’Amour’s magazine Volup2. That was the day the love affair between us was born! I love how at ease Velvet makes me feel in front of the camera, how she totally understood what I wanted and what I liked and disliked about myself, and how I should trust her! You can book a shoot with her via her website Velvetography.

I hope that you enjoyed these latest shots by Velvet. I believe that no airbrushing took place, she instead uses natural light to shoot and the glorious make up skills of plus size model and hair and make up artist, Laura Goodwin.

Wow, I love these photos! 😀 I love that you’re brave enough to have your identity out there. I have a bra blog myself but I don’t know if I’d be comfortable enough revealing who I am, although I take pride in bra fitting! Otherwise, why would I have started a bra fit blog? I think it’s so valuable to see different body shapes other than what you’d typically see in the commercials on tv! Not that there’s anything wrong with being very thin and tall just like the models on tv, but I’d like to broaden the spectrum! 🙂 Brave women like yourself help other women appreciate their own bodies, because hopefully they realize beauty does not come in one single shape and size! 🙂 If you’d like, you can check out my blog. It’s fairly new so I’m guessing you haven’t seen it! I’m trying to gain more popularity in the bra blogging world because I’m very passionate about finding the right fit and I *really* think I can contribute with something a little different than what is currently out there! You see, I’m only 5 feet tall and there are MAJOR fit problems that come when you’re that small! I discuss fit issues I usually encounter and lots of other bra related stuff! 🙂 Maybe you could do a shout-out to my blog in one of your posts? I really hope you don’t perceive this request as if I’m free-riding, because I genuinely don’t care to be popular, my sole objective is to help other women!

PS. I’ve bookmarked your blog because it is so awesome! You really know your stuff! 🙂 DS.

I love the belt you are wearing in the shot with the rose-patterned dress. Let me guess – it’s probably thrifted or something and can’t be had. 🙂

Good afternoon, First of all I LOVE your BLOG. Not only is it informative, it is so well written. I have one question about your shapewear. What is the particular name of the Maidenform piece you wear ? Thanks so much. I want to find one.
